Interesting Facts #3

12. Other than the Earth, the Moon is the only astrological object astronauts have walked on.
13. Giraffes can go longer without water than a camel. If so, why aren't giraffes the star for animals that should be heavily dehydrated but aren't?
14. January 30, 1933 was the day the words "Hi yo silver! Away!" were first heard as the lone ranger debuts on radio station WXYZ of Detroit.
15. Most people who read the word yawn feel the urge to yawn.
16. The 2nd president of the U.S. (John Adams) and the 3rd president of the U.S. (Thomas Jefferson) died a few hours apart from each other on the same day (July 4, 1826). This is the only case where two presidents died on the same exact day! IT'S TRUE!

Interesting Facts #2

Back with interesting facts. Hello!

You may have noticed the giant block of text at the end of my earlier blog post. So, yeah... I always will *try* to get language translations so you can get... uh... multilingual classes from me?

Whatever.

7. In February 2013 *gasp* a komodo dragon was said to be about 2 meters (6 - 6.5 feet) long. It wandered into an office and attacked two men with its razor-sharp teeth, leaving them injured with stitches and in the hospital.
8. Twelve people have walked on the moon.
9. Humans and giraffes have 7 vertebrae bones in the neck. It's not that unusual for mammals to have 7 vertebrae bones in the neck, but it is quite interesting that, in fact, the giraffe's long neck has the same amount of bones as the human's short neck. I am not kidding.
10. The active ingredient in most toothpastes is sodium fluoride, NaF. It can be lethal to young children using regular toothpaste, so they should be monitored. Even swallowing minute (okay, not necessarily "minute") amounts can lead to stomach problems... and you guessed it, worse.
11. Buttermilk does not contain any butter.

Interesting Facts

Interesting facts are here on this blog. There are many facts, and, believe it or not, we haven't found ALL of them. Duh, do you expect us to find all of them? Maybe so in the distant future, but I won't be surviving then. Without further ado, I will give you 6 facts today and 5 later and 5 even later and 5 even later than even later and... well, you get the point.

1. On January of 2013, security officials at Chicago O'Hare airport found human heads with skin still covering them. Ew/Weird! These were in route to nearby medical hospitals, but the paperwork was messed up.
2. In 1938, Time Magazine, an American magazine, chose Adolf Hitler for man of the year. BELIEVE IT, THEY ACTUALLY DID!!!
3. Scientists voiced concern in 2012 about radiation affecting humans after a finding of mutated butterflies with abnormal eyes, legs, and wings. The mutations were most likely caused by radiation from the Fukushima nuclear accident caused by a tsunami in 2011 which was caused by an earthquake.
4. Reported by the most popular search engine, more than 3 million people worldwide search something with the words "interesting facts" in a MONTH. YES, I SAID A MONTH.
5. New Zealand does not allow land snakes. It is part of New Zealand's biosecurity to keep all snakes out, and if a person is aware of one, by law it must be REPORTED.
6. New Zealand is free of heartworm disease and rabies. YES, I SAID RABIES.

Interesting facts are all over the web. If you google "interesting facts", you'll find that I'm not making these up; these are real facts.

I SAID, THESE ARE REAL FACTS. FAINT IF YOU WANT.
